We finished a room!

It has been silent for a while on here. We’ve been busy at work and homeschool and the house took a back seat for the preparations and aftermath of London Hat Week. The bathroom is now completely finished and has thus put an end to evening trips to the old outside loos for a shower!

I didn’t want to post this until it was completely done, because actually finishing a job feels so good!

It still feels really strange to have such a lovely room in the middle of a building site! But the bath is a timely addition, because Gabriel and I have been filling a skip with all the soil and rubble from our dirt floor room. We’re shaping up nicely and may even consider entering a Strongman competition at some point!

  1. Wow! It looks Fabulous. You all must have worked so hard to get this room finished. I hope that you are all enjoying the fruits of your labour!

  2. I’ve been watching your posts as they come due to our own “project” here in Roaring Spring, PA, USA. I’m loving what you are doing so far! The “canvas” you have to work with is downright amazing, and I think you, Owen and the children are doing a stunning piece of work. Keep on keepin’ on!

  3. That’s a really nice room. Where is it located Owen? I’m thinking the room John and I worked in, is that correct? I miss you all and would love to see some current pictures of the kids. Love to you all. Thanks for the post.

    • It’s the room at the top of the stairs Stan, the room you were painting was our temporary kitchen… Still temporary! Will try and get some pics of the kids included soon… Would love to see you soon! We miss you.
